Wyoming schools get new equipment as pickleball gains popularity

Pickleball is gaining a foothold in Wyoming schools, and a statewide donation effort through the Wyoming Pickleball Association is helping make sure students have the equipment needed to play.

More than 1,300 pieces of pickleball equipment have now been donated to 14 schools across Wyoming. The donations provide students with paddles, balls and other gear, giving schools another opportunity to introduce kids to one of the country’s fastest-growing sports.

Wally Erickson is helping lead the effort, working with businesses and organizations to raise money and secure equipment for schools. Partners including Pinnacle Bank, Blue Federal Credit Union and Premier Bone and Joint contributed funding, while Joola donated equipment.
