Alexandria Community Education has formed a partnership with the VIE Church (2671 S McKay Ave) to offer more weekday pickleball opportunities. Starting October 1st, 2024 the hours for drop-in pickleball at the VIE church will be 8am-10 am. Monday – Friday in the gymnasium.
Participants should enter at the gymnasium door. The fee will be $3 per person per visit. Silver Sneakers and One Pass insurance will also be accepted, just like at Discovery School. We ask that when you enter, you sign in on the sign-in sheet at the door. Silver Sneakers members scan their card as you do at Discovery and sign in, too.
The hours at Discovery Middle School in October will remain as scheduled: Monday through Friday, 10:30 am to 1 pm, Saturday, 8 am to 3 pm, and Sunday, Noon to 3 pm.
We are very excited about this new partnership with the VIE Church, which will offer more indoor pickleball opportunities.
Additional indoor courts exist at Discovery Middle School, as well as at the YMCA and Blind Squirrel Pickleball Club.
