An indoor pickleball facility is looking into other locations after previously announcing plans to open in Brookfield. Pickleball Kingdom previously announced it had plans to move to the former Pick ‘n Save in the Ruby Isle shopping center. "A few things have changed. The cost to convert the former grocery store location to a pickleball facility was just too costly. Construction costs were almost double what we expected so we had to move on," according to a Pickleball Kingdom Facebook post from February.
The Freeman reached out to the business for an update but there was no response as of Tuesday evening.
Pickleball Kingdom is based out of Arizona and is selling franchising rights, according to its website. The business offers drop-in play, classes, leagues and changing rooms with showers.
