Pickleball is a sport that continues to gain in popularity, and it’s been a successful summer of tournaments for local players on the court.
The 2025 Wyoming State Amateur Pickleball Championship was held on July 11 to 13 at the indoor Pickleball & Sports Complex in Casper. The tournament was sponsored by the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA Tour).
This event was a qualifying tournament for the Pickleball World Championships in Dallas, Texas, in November at the Brookhaven Country Club. Around 65 players from Wyoming, Colorad,o and South Dakota participated in the tourney. There was also one wheelchair athlete.
