Pickleball has proven to be so popular at Country Club at Mirasol that the private Palm Beach Gardens community is building its own indoor courts.
Crews will start work this spring on an 18,000-square-foot indoor pickleball building with seven courts in a community of 1,170 luxury homes along PGA Boulevard west of Florida's Turnpike. According to Matt Lambert, Mirasol's general manager, it should open by winter.
Lambert said the new building will help keep up with the booming demand for the sport in the area. One member of the country club’s board said it might attract people to move to Mirasol because the courts will only be open to homeowners in the neighborhood.
