Pickleball lovers will soon be able to pick up their paddles and play a game as Santa Rosa County prepares to open courts at Lenny James Tolbert Memorial Park.
The courts, which officials say are the first in District 4, will open after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16.
“We’re excited about this new addition to Lenny James Tolbert Memorial Park,” District 4 Commissioner Ray Eddington said. “It’s the first pickleball court in District 4, and I’m thankful for our team who worked hard to make this happen for everyone.”
According to a county news release, the 44- by 20-foot courts are located near the baseball field. The park, located off Tolbert Road in Navarre, Florida, is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
