A $3.8 million project planned in the Grove district would add a pickleball facility and residential units.
The mixed-use development, called the Drop In, is being pursued by Jill Dierberg Clark and would be located at 1083 Newstead Ave., at the intersection of Newstead and Oakland avenues in the city’s Forest Park Southeast neighborhood. The project would add a new residential building and pickleball facility, and renovate an existing home on the site.
Dierberg Clark would have a residence on site and operate the Drop In, described as a recreational pickleball facility. Dierberg Clark is a competitive pickleball player and owner of JDC Communications Management.
The development would add a residential building with a two-story primary residence and clubhouse. There would also be an apartment located on the second floor of the residential building. The clubhouse would be used with an adjacent facility that will have three indoor pickleball courts.
