Community members gathered for the official ribbon cutting of Bristol's Pickleball Park. This park is a partnership between Bristol Sportsplex and the City of Bristol Tennessee. The facility includes 13 ready-to-play courts, nearby restrooms, a bar, and a restaurant.
There is currently a national pickleball tournament happening at the Sportsplex and city officials say this is only the start of what the new park has to offer.
"After the pros pull out some of the best players in the world we will follow up with a lot of different programming here locally for example for kids we’re starting the program next weekend so it’s gonna be a great time and then we just hope that everyone will come out and enjoy this wonderful new facility", said Mike Mains, Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Bristol Tennessee.
