Michael A. Flaherty, M.D., is a fellowship-trained sports medicine expert specializing in hip, knee, elbow, and shoulder arthroscopy as well as orthopaedic fracture care. His expertise includes arthroscopic reconstruction and labral repair of the hip, arthroscopic rotator cuff and shoulder labral repair, and complex knee ligament reconstruction. Dr. Flaherty has served as the assistant team physician to the Pawtucket Red Sox and Lowell Spinners, minor league affiliates of the Boston Red Sox organization.
